Change Icon on Advanced Menu

Good morning everyone!

It's been a while since I've used Linux Mint. But... I think this was a feature on their Mate distro. I seem to remember you could set the Advanced Menu Panel Icon manually???? I really like UM 20.04. But... I don't like the Panel Icon changing depending what Icon Theme I've selected. Currently... It's displaying a Debian icon. That looks weird on a Ubuntu install.

Anyone have an idea on how to set this icon permanently????

Hi @jspoonamore,

recently, mate-menu was refactored to display start-here icon from your theme. So, there is no permanent solution if you are changing your themes. You may want to check this thread , where similar question was discussed.

Thanks for the info. I thought I would have to do some file-shenanigans to achieve my goal here. I was just hoping there was an official method to my fix and not a hack.
