Change insert text to shift insert while in a terminal window

In most cases, shift insert works when you want to insert copied text.

But in a terminal, it uses shift ctrl v.

Any way to change that behavior to shift insert?

Why not just use the center mouse button?

I thought the center button was only for scrolling.

Furthermore, you don’t need to [ctrl]&C or right click and select copy. Just highlight the text you wish to copy, don’t do anything else, move to the terminal window and press the center mouse button to paste.
