Chrome slow startup

Hi, we use the Chrome browser on several computers that have ubuntu-mate 16.04 installed.
When you start Chrome it takes about 40 seconds to start, only the first time you run it.
I tried to remove it and the same thing happens, I do not see anything strange in the logs either.

The computers has a i3-3220 and 4gb ram and last Chrome version

Is this for Google Chrome? Maybe try chromium as a open source alternative. Google Chrome is proprietary and therefore would be difficult to fix a problem.
