Clipboard for 16.04 Mate Gnome that handles graphics

I can not live without a clipboard that a) supports multiple items and b) can capture graph images also.

Through all my searches I found CopyQ – http://hluk.github.io/CopyQ/ on their download page they list copyq_2.7.1_Ubuntu_16.04_amd64.deb

Does anyone know if this is compatible with 16.04 Mate Gnome?
Or something they know that works?

Also beware I am brand new at this

Thanks, Fred

Hi fey42

I just installed copyq_2.7.1_Ubuntu_16.04_amd64.deb using gdebi and it will boot up.

Not sure if you have gdebi installed, to install:

sudo apt install gdebi

Then go to your download folder and r-click on the .deb and choose gdebi to install.

It will then appear ready to use (located in your menu under Accessories) or just copy something and it will pull up. I’m not interested in the package so you will have to test it further.

If you decide you don’t want the package then again r-click on the .deb, choose gdebi and remove.

Good luck

Hi @anon42388993

Thanks, I try that in the morning when I am fresh.

Not meaning to get in the way of trying something new. Go for it! But after you do, remember that you also have Diodon available to you on the Software Boutique in the Accessories pane.

Far from it, you pointed out something I had not seen in all my searching and already "recommended" by our "package".

Between you and @anon42388993 you have pointed me in great directions. I'll try Didon first.

Thanks to both of you, Fred

@anon42388993, @marfig ,

Everything is up and running fine. I tried Didon and it worked jut fine.
Picked up a gmail message complete with pictures and pasted it into Libre Writer.

Thanks for the help and suggestions, Fred
