Compiz and Chrome showing system title bar

Hi guys!

Let me start of by giving a shout out to Martin Wimpress and all the other guys who made this distro possible!
I have tried many different distros, but keep comming back to Ubuntu Mate because it simply seemes to be the one that works (almost) flawlessly on my laptop. And it looks great as well

Now to the issue that bugs me at the moment:

I really like having compiz enabled, and for the most part it works good (after disabling the "Keep preview of minimized windows" so as to not make the dekstop freeze)

I use chrome with "use system title bar and borders" unticked" or disabled , but when compiz is enabled and a chrome window is minimized, the system title bar appear yet again.

I can hide it again by manually enabling and disabling the system title bar in chrome again, but that is just a temporary fix.

The problem is also described in this bug report.

If someone have a fix/workarround for this it would be greatly appreciated!

I have included a couple of screenshots as well so you guys can see what I am talking about

Hello again guys!

After som trial and error it seemes as if this bug appears only if the Chrome window is initially opened fully maximized and then minimized.

So after some extensive troubleshooting using compiz settings manager and googling I ended up with what looks like a fix/workarround.

Go to compiz settings manager and edit the "decoration windows" line to show "(any) & !(class=Google-chrome)" instead of just "any"

And also make sure the "use system title bar and borders" is still disabled/unticked in chrome

This seemes to have done the trick for me.

I tried this a while ago without success because I did not see any window controlls (minimize, maximize, close)

This was due to the fact I had enabled the "use system title bar and borders" in chrome and using this exeption.

This time I disabled system title bar and borders in chrome when using this exeption: Success!! :sunglasses:

Lets just hope im not jinxing this by posting this :joy:

only minus with this workaround is that popup windows will not have title bar

this seemed to do the trick for me:

(any) & !(class=Google-chrome & !(role=pop-up))
