I have them all installed.
Where do they present themselves? How do I add them to a panel?
I can see they are all stared in "Startup Programs".
Should there be something more?
If you don't have it installed install dconf editor.
Then navigate to org/ayatana/indicator/ (which one you want i.e. power or sessions)
From there you can set the switches

As I am reading, think you may not have the Indicator in your panel. If so
Right click in panel and click on +Add to Panel

That was it. It needed the Indicator Applet Complete. Maybe if it needs it then maybe it should provide some kind of message.
