Confusion over networking

I have 2 laptops and 1 desktop they started as windows machines but I have been running ubuntu mate 16.04 for over 6 months and want to wipe windows and just run ubunutu. I cannot find a simple answer as to how to network them after windows has gone. I have been using teamviewer but would prefer a system more like windows where you can access all the machine and just copy and paste between them and run programs remotely. Is there such a possibility??? They are all wireless and connect to the same router.

Are you pertaining to something like a remote desktop connection? (that doesn’t use teamviewer - Windows has that feature by default)

EDIT: Don’t quote me on this but I think you still need to download a third party app that lets you do remote desktop connection as seamless as Window’s remote desktop connection. I believe some are available in the software boutique.

Thanks but I have achieved it - very simple - can now view and work between all 3 machines - can copy and paste open files edit and save them - even on the ntfs partitions.
I knew there had to be a way and I googled for how to do it on Linux Mint as I was sure it could be done on Mint. This is the link.

It worked perfectly!
I wish that information for Ubuntu Mate was more accessible and not so convoluted. I still love Mate but will probably look for problems solved in Mint.
