Hi, I have no skills with computer: sorru if it's easy for you!
I have mate 20.04 and cyberghost vpn for 3 years.
I change nothing and for few days vpn is not working any more.
When i launch vpn in a windows it says: problem of connexion, verify username and password. I didn't change any of these.
So I uninstalled cyberghost then re installed but still it doesn't work.
please help me the cyberghost chat is creapy and unusefull!!

yes the chat is answering but it's not helpfull! They advice me to re install: this is what I did. But still it's not working
That's a shame. As a commercial product, one should expect better support. I'd stay on them, or cancel your account and try a different VPN.

Don't forget Ubuntu MATE 20.04 is End of Life, thus has been updated in a somewhat long time.
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS is also in its last days of standard support, with its five years already used up, and now into the additional month provided by Canonical
You're using an OS that is old and not receiving updates that newer software will get, so additional problems can often be experienced (when changes are made; maybe cyberghost have made updates your older OS isn't aware of).

ok thanks! like I said I'm not very good with computer. What do you advice me to install that is really simple to work with and simple to install ?

Knowing what hardware you have would go a long way to recommending something, but if you're running Ubuntu MATE already, there's a good chance that upgrading it might be the easiest path. Open a terminal session and type
sudo apt full-upgrade
type in your password and off you go. In fact, the most complete method might be
sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade && sudo apt autoremove
which will update repositories, upgrade the system and clean up afterwards.
Simple.

thank you! indeed it's simple! now I have mate 22.04 all new! But it was not the problem because my vpn is still not working. I will try what the chat support told me for a first step

You're getting closer to us and 2025, so all you have to do is upgrade to 24.04.
