As an Arch user I really like the idea of installing everything by myself. I think, it’d be cool to have some kind of “Minimal Ubuntu MATE”, which will install only base packages - minimal Ubuntu, MATE and some other necessary tools (like terminal, file manager, etc.). Then the user could be able to install everything by himself. I think you get it. I think it shouldn’t really need an GUI, as it’d be an option for advanced users and the installation could process like Ubuntu Server installation.
