I just went to get the latest daily build. I was a bit surprised that the last build was March 4th, when the others have been built for March 13th.
Just wondering if something has broken down? Or is this one more task which needs resources which are not available lately?
Or are Daily Builds only triggered if changes have been committed to the master code tree?

Yeah there have been a few build failures...
Actually lots of teams have had build failures of late (issues with squashfs impacting Ubuntu Studio, issues impacting those using calamares etc..) but Ubuntu Mate lacking the developers to explore their issues isn't helping.
FYI: Anyone can subscribe to notices on builds, so its easy for team members to be alerted when builds succeed, fail etc.. but even if no-one actually notices those, the Ubuntu Release team (and others) ping team members by name on channels (matrix etc) after a number of unsuccessful builds for multiple days... There isn't much else they can do if none of that gets a response though.

Just wondering. Is there any way to review the buildlog for the last successful build?

Yep, alas I'm not a developer in the Ubuntu MATE team, not subscribed to that mailing list (for alerts etc, the emails contain URLs to view detail) etc.
I used to be subscribed to Lubuntu's, and thus would search for URL in my inbox; but when I didn't reapply for a Council position, I dropped myself from that ML, and when I need to look in such a buildlog now I'm usually provided with the URL I need, so I'm not familiar with looking for them on launchpad sorry.
