In my home, sometimes I use a machine as hotspot for sharing internet, the machine is connected to internet using 4G usb, what I want to know is it safe to disable firewall on that machine ? knowing that most of people use phones or tablettes to connect the hostspot, is there any danger from internet to attack my machine or hacking it ?
If you have no problem when firewall is enabled, then let it enabled. What kind of issue you have when firewall is enabled with 4G hot-spot?
I observed that internet speed is increased by 17% when firewall is disabled. And because that machine works as hotspot so I thought it's safe to disable firewall to benefit from better speed.
Speed and firewall not linked. Try others tests and check if system is really idle and not updated in background and close all others applications.
