Hi,
The rigth ctrl key in my keyboard is near the ‘alt gr’ key, and as for / I have to touch ‘alt gr’ together with Q, the window I am working in is frequently closed as I am rather ‘thumby’ and touch ctrl instead.
In Control Center > keyboard shortcuts ‘Close Window’ is ctrl+f4 (and it is working).
How disable ctrl+Q?
Thanks,
Geraldo
You probably won’t be able to as it is generic to the way most programs that open a window operate. A lot (if not all) close with ctrl+q
I think ctrl-Q is something each application responds to, so you’d have to change it in each application.
Thank you all. Will try to find how to do it, at least in Firefox.
Regards
Geraldo
Try a addon
There are others.
How's this? Add a meaningless keyboard shortcut. Something like this...
Then assign it to Ctrl+Q, of course.
Works on 16.04 w/MATE 1.16 - just tried it. I thought the app might have priority but it doesn't.
