I've noticed and read about a lot of posts about this issue I have a Lenovo Ideapad slim1
And tried mate 20 its glitched the screen
I know this is maybe unrelated but I've tried other distros too they do the same
Currently I am on xubuntu 20 with kernel 5.8 on nomodeset in grub
I want to manage to install Mate

Seems there Is a kernel problem with this AMD A6 R4 graphics

Driver issue
The distro that I am on now is working sort of fine until I leave the laptop for couple of minutes alone then the xfce freeze again
I reboot the xfce and it's working again
Disabled everything.that.i can
Cant install amd driver
Cant find any good amd.driver
