Emergency Mode - when system can not be repaired

I have been using Clonezilla to make backups of my hard drive.

On rare occasions I get those Emergency Screens(ES) on bootup.

And there are times when after following the instructions on the screen etc., nothing will restore my computer other than restoring a clone.

For example, I have been at this screen multiple times and could never get it to scroll down.

I installed Systemback.

But will it work if I get another ES?

Seems like it would need to be on a pendrive or CD also?

I know it is not the answer, but REDO has been revived. And there is a REDO fork called Rescuezilla. Both work quite well and are simpler than Clonezilla for me.
