Hi! I run UM 20.04.4 LTS. My Epson L150 printer/scanner has ben functioning a bit erratically in recent days (scanner, mainly).
My question: should I uninstall it and then reinstall or just reinstall drivers on top of those already installed?
Best
Hello lostados
Could you tell us how you connect your Ubuntu-Mate computer to the Epson printer/scanner?
- usb-cable
- ethernet
- wireless
This additional information may help someone offer you targeted advice.
Thanks. I always connect via USB cable.
Hello lostados
Having looked at the Epson website for drivers for your printer:
and having checked that the "search function" was working by looking for drivers for my printer:
I presume that there is no official Linux support for your machine from Epson. That means that the drivers you are using are provided by Ubuntu/Debian. This being the case, I would un-install the printer (Control Center > Printers...) and then re-install it (un-install printer - re-boot Ubuntu-Mate - install printer).
Thank you very much. I had an idea that was the thing to be done but did not know exactly why.
