I've just got myself a new set of Sony 2.1 speakers but the bass is really loud which i usually love but living in an apartment with a neighbour who hates noise i need to lower it a bit.
On Ubuntu MATE 18 I knew about being able to use a Pulse Audio EQ but it no longer works on Ubuntu MATE 20.04
Can anyone advise me how i can setup an EQ on my new Ubuntu MATE install?
Cuuuuute .
But not integrated in Ubuntu Mate : It doesn t go in the notification bar when closed. It just close the programme.
Pullseffects is tipically a notification bar app like the other sound options of mate.
Should we contact Mate or Pulseeffects to have the proper behaviour ?
COuld it be installed by default and connected to the current audio management window ?
It doesn’t seem to work at all. I installed it, and the sound just disappeared. It works only if I set the toggle of the specific application to off. Also, it requires PulseAudio. I get the sound back only after uninstalling all these applications and restarting the system.
Easyeffects is the equivalent of pulseeffects; but it works on newer Linux sound stacks which typically use pipewire (which is slowly replacing pulseaudio).
