I upgraded Ubuntu MATE 18.04 to 19.10, which replaced Thunderbird with Evolution. In 18.04, Thunderbird connected without a problem; in 19.10, Evolution is not connecting with Yahoo Mail. Here's the error message:

Failed to authenticate: IMAP server said BYE: IMAP4rev1 Server logging out
Update: I connected with Yahoo, and they have discovered the problem. My apologies.
