File download issues with 17.04 upgrade

Hey Everyone,

I am trying to upgrade to 17.04 and during the packages download part of the update I am getting download errors of these files. I have tried 4 times over the span of the week using the GUI and command line. The same files fail every time. I have successfully copied the URL into FF and was able to connect and start downloading the deb files.

Edit: of course I wait until after I post this to mtr the ip address. I am getting a75% packet loss 1 hop past my firewall. I will update this once I figure it out.

What you could try is changing the download region in this panel:

Control Center -> Software & Updates. First tab. Change the Download From.

The server it is downloading them from might for some reason or another be down at the moment.

What @1Q7FE6zp is saying.

From time to time, it doesn’t hurt to open this window and let the system find the best server to download from. I think it is based on physical proximity.
