gElemental is offered in the official Ubuntu repositories, under the Universe/Science section.
It is no longer supported by its author, but has been maintained in several distros.

Don't know. i386 and amd64 are supported for sure.
Rationale:
The Education section of the Boutique needs some lovin'. And gElemental is a core education tool and a staple of good Gnome 2 development.
No longer maintained by its author, it is however kept alive by some package maintainers a little around the linux community, with the latest patch having been offered by the OpenSUSE project (if I'm not mistaken: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gelemental/).
The Ubuntu version is stable, runs perfectly well in Ubuntu-MATE and I have yet to see this simple but useful application crash in 16.04
