I did a restore for an old backup and it replaced the lovely Ubuntu-Mate default config. I would like to get it back, is there a way?
I’m not sure to be honest. I believe when you restore your overwriting the directory. But I could be wrong.
How often do you back up? The more often you back up, the less likely you are to bugger things you set up. If it’s to much trouble to back up very regularly then back up just your configs after you have everything set up just how you like it. Then you can just plop them back in if you reinstall or restore from something to old.
I wan using Mate desktop on LinuxMint. So thats my problem there.
It is in /etc/skel/.config/tilda
I copied it but no change. Do i need to logout/reboot?
Reloged and it works. Thanks.
I have some questions about tilda.
I saw it in the vivid beta 1, it litterally jumped at me at first boot (tilda + config gui).
Since it didn’t know what it was, i was thinking at first that it was a bug, then i understood it is for development.
It seems to be a good tool and i swoly get accustomed to it.
There is the questions:
Will it be in the vivid release ?
And if yes, will it pop-up at users like this ? I think it might scares some people.
It is in Vivid. It has never popped up on me…I found it on accident myself when I fudged and accidently hit f12
