It looks like an old version of Welcome, or the version from the main repos. Without seeing the complete report, I won’t be able to investigate. I haven’t seen a crash in this area. :frowning
What’s the newest version of welcome? How do I get it?
Welcome has an option in the top-right that reads “Subscribe for updates”. Clicking this ensures the latest stuff for Welcome and the Software Boutique.
Since you uninstalled the app, you can take a shortcut and install the latest right away via the terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-mate-dev/welcome
sudo apt update
sudo apt install ubuntu-mate-welcomeThank you! I’ll download it and see if I still get the crash pop ups. I deleted the crash log so we will see.
Can you do a window screen shot of where it says to subscribe for updates? I’m not seeing it.
Right here:
It only appears if Welcome isn't subscribed to updates. (In other words, the Welcome PPA isn't present)
