GPD Pocket 3 MATE build - sound not working

Installed the GPD Pocket 3 Mate image and the sound was not working out of the box.

Reinstalling alsa and pulseaudio didn't help. Saw that snd-intel-dspcfg driver is working in archlinux instead of the snd_hda_intel that was installed as a pert of the package.

Any advice?

Same here, though I had to upgrade to 22.04 from the Mate image due to 21.10 being EoL.
