I’m new to MATE and like it so far. Still a few bugs but those will get worked out and well worth the small inconveniences.
Ran into an issue with sound and I’m not sure if it’s MATE or Ubuntu 18.04…When I cold start or restart my PC using MATE 18.04, there’s no sound from my speakers. Audio control shows “dummy output”. I found out that when I unplug the speakers and re-plug them into the line-out, audio control then recognizes analog audio card and everything works fine. Suspend doesn’t have the same issues. Also, I didn’t have this issue with my last distro (Zorin 9).
Any thoughts?
