Weird behavior seen, but not always.
On my new Ubuntu MATE VM (under Parallels) I have both the original installation Parallels account, and my user account, which has administrator privileges. My account uses MATE, the Parallels account does not. I have rare use for the Parallels account, but it's come in handy, in a random sort of way.
If I leave my account idle for a while, the lock screen appears. However, some times it does not recognize any keyboard input in the password field. I can click the buttons, but no keyboard input is seen in the Leave Message portion, as well. I've tried a number of key combinations to make the input field active, but nothing works.
When it last happened, I used the Switch User option to log in as the Parallels account and then killed my user session using loginctl kill-user operation. So I didn't have to reboot, but I did need to log in again.
Has anyone else experienced this "dead" input field? I suppose I could disable the screen locker, since it's a VM on my PC, but it's still quite odd.
