How can I connect a Bluetooth mouse with a keyboard?

I don’t have a wired mouse and I am trying to figure out how I can access the Bluetooth config using the kyboard.

I too have the same issue.

Boot up computer (UM, 18.10) and bluetooth applet (blueman 2.0.5) appears in panel. Bluetooth keyboard connects automatically.

Simple solution is to plug in a wired mouse and go to Recent Connections and the mouse shows up there and when clicked, works perfectly.

However, the bluetooth mouse does not connect on the boot so wondering how to use keystrokes to get over to the applet so all we have to do is follow the same process using down arrows.

I have tried Tab, Esc and such to get this to open but have not been successful so asking for advice.

As for a long term fix, I did find this site here that seems to show how to fix it long term but as a newbie, slightly scared to try it.

The ability to key over to it and get the mouse to work is an easier fix for our family.

Thanks in advance for the answer!
