How can I disable Nvidia Graphics or Use the Nvidia X server Settings?

I recently purchased a the XPS 15 with Nvidia GTX 1050. I installed UMate 16.04 the upgraded to 16.04.3. Then I Choose the Nvidia Proprietary Drivers. The problem is that I don't see any options in the nvidia-settings :
Here is the screenshot:

Also, This is the configuration panel for Additional Drivers:

Are there any ways to either get the Nvidia X server settings working or to disable the nvidia graphics (Because I am dual booting with windows and I use the graphics only for playing games)

Have you tried to switch back to Mesa/Nouveau (“X.Org X server” option), reboot, choose the nVidia driver again and reboot again?

Or tried to force the reinstallation of the package?

sudo apt-get install --reinstall nvidia-384

Hi, I am terribly sorry for taking this long to try it out. I actually just used the laptop with power cable connected and never worried much. However today I remembered that there was a reply and I tried it And it worked. Thanks
