I wanted to duplicate Firefox v.149.0 on an older PC with 24.04 to a newer PC with 24.04. I copied over the .mozilla file. All seemed so perfect until I noticed the second PC did not remember history even though Remember history setting was enabled. Any idea what went wrong?

Well, I did that once. It took to copy ~/snap/firefox folder to new installation.
Hopefully, this may help.

I tried that. I deleted the original ~/snap/firefoxfirst before pasting the new one. But same result, no history. There must be some other directory that needs copied.

Sorry for unintentionally misleading you.
I did not copy the whole ~/snap/firefox folder but the contents @ old pc ~/snap/firefox/common/.mozilla/firefox/ to the same folder @ new pc.

I think the problem ended up being the a bad usb stick. Used a different stick, copied the .mozilla directory over, all is good.
