how disable on screen keyboard? I was learning umate and trying different functions. I’ve activated an on screen keyboard and it’s icon in upper right , since this laptop doesn’t have a touch screen I’d like to disable it and remove the icon.

Have you tried right-click on the icon? The ‘quit’ option should be available there.

Sometimes it also helps to disable or remove completely a program from the list of applications that run on startup.
You can do so by opening “Startup Applications” and deselect or remove the programs you want disabled such as Onboard onscreen keyboard, Orca screen reader and any other such programs that place themselves into Startup Applications automatically after installation, like Skype.
