I want the full version not the awkward Pi version
The Raspberry Pi isn’t powerful enough to run the full Java edition of Minecraft, hence why there is a slimmer Pi version based on the Pocket Edition, designed in mind for coding.
Minecraft also requires OpenGL which both the Raspberry Pi and Ubuntu MATE (Pi Edition) doesn’t support. The Pi supports OpenGL ES under Raspbian, but that isn’t the same as OpenGL.
