How do you listen to your music?

Why do I ask? Mostly to get the community to engage in conversation, to talk, find out common interests, share stories. And from the posts here and at the What are you currently listening to? topic, looks like music is a strong presence in the life of some people, and it’s nice to find out that some of us share favorite artists and similar tastes.

And last but not least, because music to me is important, to the point that it keeps me alive. If it wasn't for music, I would be long gone from this world.

8 track was never a thing in europe.

OTOH, compact cassette had a much earlier adoption here than in the US, probably because of the absence of 8 track

My favourite music is copied from CD to flac, then played with Audacious to a Topping DAC and AE active speakers. As the youngsters would say… Awesome! it also plays my old mp3 library but that is of variable audio quality but still fun. And it sounds great listening to youtube, netflix, etc as well. I’ve written my own scripts to generate playlists as I found the Audacious GUI a pain with large music libraries.
