Hi, am trying to cast VLC on my smart TV without lag and downward compression from 1080p to 720p. Is it possible to achieve that via gnome-network-displays?
I have managed to cast VLC via the Brave browser when I go on cast there, but there is too much lag and image compression. I have also tried to render the video directly from VLC version 4 which gives me no results at all.
I have installed MkChromecast, it does detect the TV and I see on the TV that it mentions MkChromecast but I don't know how to transfer or make it show VLC.
Any ideas how to go about this and get it to work? How to install gnome network displays in ubuntu mate? Would that be the solution?
