Morning Everybody, I’m new in the community and I would like to download Ubuntu Mate on my laptop, but couldn’t please can you direct me where I can download the laptop version please.

on the main site there is a section Download… there you can choose if you want 15.04 or the LTS version then you have to select the 32 or 64bit version… download with torrent client…
not hard please try to look around before asking questions…the page is intuitive one doesn’t have to think hard to navigate trough the pages

The desktop version is for PCs and laptops. So, you must install the desktop version on your laptop.

The “Desktop” in this case points to the fact that it contains a desktop. Ubuntu also offers the server option which just installs a server (just without the desktop like MATE, Gnome, KDE or XFCE).
So the Ubuntu MATE Desktop iso also works on laptops.
