I just installed Ubuntu Mate 18.04 on a HDD partition and was performing impressively. The problem is now it has no any driver for wireless and since my H/W brand is broadcom, I have to get the driver and need it to get installed correctly.
Anyone have come across this and solved the problem, so would share the solution to me ?
Thanks in advance
Take a look at the Broadcom page here -
Good luck @abdulbadii
Because of no internet connection from Wifi on Linux, I download anything via Windows with its perfect WL driver.
So I got “broadcom-sta-dkms_6.30.223.271-8_all.deb” and “dkms_2.3-3ubuntu9_all.deb” because the latter is required to satisfy the first and the first is required to satisfy the bcmwl-kernel-source, but when I installed, it gave an error sort of:
dependency not satisfiable : gcc
even though gcc-7-base and gcc-8-base all completely installed perfectly
Any idea that is closer to the right path to solve this?
Note, there are several different Broadcom drivers.
The ISO contains a pool of packages, including a package for the wl driver. This should be installable via the standard ‘additional driver’ tools.
thank you! it works perfectly on ubuntu 18.04
Same method fir parrot os ?
