I installed the YouTube Downloader from the Software Boutique. Clicking on it does not launch the application.
Hallo
If you mean “youtube-dl”, it’s a command line program.
Open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and type “man youtube-dl”.
This will load the “man-pages” for the program, which explain how it can be used.
Just one thing to remember, when you copy-paste something into a terminal you have to use (Ctrl+Shift+V) instead of just (Ctrl+V).
I’m pretty sure @maro is referring to the GUI frontend to youtube-dl (youtube-dlg) found in the software boutique.
When you open the program from a terminal does it produce any errors?
You can do this by opening a terminal window and typing: youtube-dl-gui
See here for a fix
Had no idea this keyboard shortcut could be used with terminal. Thank you
I am referring to the GUI frontend, this is very helpful though. Thanks! [quote="rev, post:4, topic:7551"]

The terminal says no module named wx
.
Going through @stevecook172001 suggestions now.
Hallo
If it helps anyone, I seem to remember that I installed it via synaptic. I only use it in a terminal, so I can’t comment about a GUI.
