Hello everyone,
I have a new Epson ET-3750 duplex inkjet printer/scanner/copier. I wanted to connect it as a network printer to my (ethernet) network.
I entered the the following parameters into the printer via its console:
- IPv4 address
- Subnet Mask
- Gateway
I then went to the Ubuntu-Mate "Control Center", and opened the "Printers" section. I used the "Add" button to open the add-printer dialogue, and selected "Network Printer" - the one with the IP-address set above.
That is all that was required, the printer and scanner worked.
Summary: if set up in this way, no hunting for drivers is necessary.
Note: as I do not use wireless I did not attempt to connect this printer via a wireless network connection.
