How to tweak your panel layouts

Right click on the separator and choose Remove From Panel in the drop down menu. Then you simply add the Brave launcher to the panel and right click on it and choose Move in the drop down menu and then you can drag it to the spot right next to your Evolution launcher without having to unlock all the other icons in the panel. If you want to re-add the Separator next to the Brave launcher you'll need an empty spot for it.

Don’t feel stupid, we all can get stuck on something because your brain focuses to hard on one small part and misses the whole and every problem is a learning experience not just for yourself but everyone else here. Another thing I do when configuring my panel is change the color from light gray which I keep it at to dark gray so I can actually see the separators, otherwise they blend in to well to my panel color so are easy to miss.

Thanks @Norm24 , but I think I miss-spoke. In the Redmond layout, there are three sections of the panel. The left, where only the menu, desktop and evolution were and then the middle section where all my open apps would show and then the right were all my system info shows like the time, wifi, battery, etc. I never physically added a separator. In fact, I was not aware I could do that until you kept mentioning it (after I did). All I was trying to say was I was unable to add anything to the section on the left and the word separator seemed like the right choice. So… my bad.

Regardless, I do appreciate your help!

No issues.

I've always used the default configuration. Maybe I'll start experimenting with other layouts and find something I like better.

Maybe a note to the Developers:

Is there something different in the "Redmond Layout" for Panels that is not coded for other layouts?
