I have just finished assembling a new server which uses the [https://intel.ly/2M0KRN7](https://t.co/lXjIAOEeGH?amp=1 Intel Storage Expander RES3FV288] alongside plugged-in drives but when I boot up the system I neither see the drives in /dev/disk/by-id/ nor does the Intel RES3FV288 adapter shows under '''lspci -vv'''.
This PCIe 4x is plugged into a 16x slot and that is mounted on the [https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X399%20Taichi/index.asp Asrock X399 Taichi] if that helps.
Any ideas before I claim a RMA?
