I installed 18.10 on my gpd pocket 2 with luks+lvm, initramfs prompts after upgrade

I installed my pocket2 with fde+lvm, but after upgrading it can't find ubuntu-mate-vg anymore at boot and drops to an initramfs prompt.

How do I get my install back?
