I've been using ibus in 16.04 without any issues. But in 18.04, ibus input method doesn't seem to work. When I change language input with ibus, no character gets typed except spaces. I have changed the Keyboard input method system to Ibus under Language support.
Also in 16.04, unicode characters could be typed with Ctrl+Shift+<unicode number> which also doesn't work in 18.04. No character is shown after typing Ctrl+Shift+20b9 which was showing Rupee symbol before in 16.04.
What am I missing here? Should I install any extra packages to get this to work?
