Hi
I’m running ubuntu mate ppc version on a 2006 Imac G5 and the wireless g is working fine.
I have a TP Link (TL-WN725N) dongle and I have tried some solutions found on google with no luck.
I was wondering if anyone here has managed to get a Wireless N usb dongle to work?
Thanks
Hi @mrfabjr,
I don't know anything about PPC?, have you tried Control Centre > Additional Drivers tool?:
Hi wolfman

Hi @mrfabjr,
I have looked around the net but cannot find anything relating to your problem, sorry!
No problem buddy, thanks for your help.
Much appreciated.
cheers
Well top of my simple Google search was http://askubuntu.com/questions/678134/how-to-install-tp-link-wn725n-wifi-usb-adapter-on-ubuntu-ubuntu-14-04-3-lts . Perhaps a little bit more info would be helpful. For example, are you using 16.04?
I have had another tp link dongle working on powerpc. I just plugged it in and it worked. Have a search on Raspberry pi since that has lots of advice for non Intel.

Just a follow up, if you are not familiar with compiling kernel modules then I would try and do it via dkms …see https://github.com/lwfinger/rtl8188eu
