Image editor prefered applications?

I also liked the "Pinta" image editor very much, but there hasn't been a new Stable version since 2015 (version 1.6 was released on March 1st, 2015, that is 5 years ago! - https://pinta-project.com/pintaproject/pinta/releases/1-6).

Just wanted to ask if you know if Pinta will be added again to the software boutique, and if you also have the problem that when running Software Updates. I always get the message that it failed, but when I open the settings and close them, then it works and updates are found/installed. I also would like to give some money, but have no PayPal account or bitcoins. Is there an ordinary bank account in the UK where could transfer to? Thanks in advance.
