I am going to see if I can determine how old my computer is.
I think the U.S. Navy uses Linux.

Every branch of the U.S. military has Linux in use in some portion of its
- Cyber-Warfare Ops
- Planning and Simulation Ops
- "Army of One" hardware platforms (since around 2008 or earlier)
