installation PDF editor 4
version 5 has been installed without problems, but version 4 which is free makes me problems
will be very happy to find help

but with PDF editor has a lot of problems

Which package did you download: .tar.gz? .deb? .rpm?

How are you trying to install?

What errors are you having?

I don't use that software, but usually the easiest path to install a non-ubuntu-repository package is to download a .deb, and install with gdebi. IT SHOULD BE INSTALLED IN THE /usr/local TREE, NOT THE DEFAULT LOCATION. This will help prevent conflicts with ubuntu-repository packages.

Also, you probably know this, but the PDF format is not really designed for editing. YMMV.

i am interested in archeology and on windows were working 20 y with acrobat profesional
to make annotations
links etc

I'm 60 years old but always follow tech .
Now i use manjaro-mate and i think libre office will cover you in any way just learn it!
