Installing Mate from Live USB on Old Lenovo IdeaPad

Hi I am trying to install Mate 22.04 from live usb on an old Lenovo IdeaPad that's running Win 10. On booting the usb from F12 I noticed a host of "previous" Linux OS's as well as Windows Manager in the boot menu. Can boot into live usb but as it starts I get error /boot/ file not found. I searched for possible fixes and the most popular seems to be to run sudo efibootmgr -v from terminal. I can't make head nor tail of the print out so reaching out to the Mate community.
Here is the print out

disable fast boot in bios.

Ah I don't have access to BIOS I need the password Unless you know of a way to access it

Boot into Windows.

Navigate to the Control Panel and select 'Power Options. '
Choose 'Choose what the power buttons do. '
Click on 'Change settings that are currently unavailable. '
Under 'Shutdown settings,' uncheck the 'Turn on fast startup' box.

Reboot, fast boot should be off now.
