Installing Opensnitch?

I had used OpenSnitch (https://www.opensnitch.io/) on U. Mate 16.04 quite a while ago, but stopped because I didn’t manage to handle it (at least, not in the way I used Little Snitch on OSX the year before).
But I maintained an eye on GitHub to see evolutions : and at this moment it seems that the author is intensely working on it.

I then downloaded the source code (no package available), and then I find myself unable to install the required external libraries by myself…

Anyone here with an actual experience in installing it?

I am sure you are aware that Ubuntu Mate comes with a easy-to-use firewall already, you just need to activate it in Control Centre > Internet and Network > Firewall Configuration: (For the benefit of others reading this thread).
