Installing Ubuntu Mate on HP Pavilion PC Gamer 15-ak001nf

Hi i am trying to install Ubuntu Mate(dual boot Windows 10) on my new HP laptop and i am receiving a string of errors while trying to load linux from a usb key.
The USB key was created using Rufus for my UEFI system.
The same screen appears for other linux distros.

Does anybody have any idea what's the cause of these errors?
Thank you :slight_smile:

What exact model of graphics card do you have?

@Wimpy
There are two graphic adapters:
The Intel HD Graphics 530
and Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M

If you can see the boot screen when you start, press any key and then F6 and select “nomodeset” then press enter twice!. :smiley:

I tried … my pc freezes…the screen show nothing

Did you fully format the USB stick to FAT32 before you used Rufus?. :confused:

Yes I did his … :confused:

The problem lies with the open source NVIDIA drivers (nouveau), which is having problems booting on your specific hardware set up.

If it's a problem with two graphic cards trying to initialize at once (dual graphics feature?), check the BIOS settings to ensure only one of the cards are being used.

pci_pm_runtime_suspend(): nouveau_pmops_runtime_suspend+0x0/0xe0 [nouveau] returns -22

I found some bug reports [1, 2] related to this, try these boot parameters, one at a time:

runpm=1

nouveau.runpm=0

You can add them to the end of the command line when you press F6.

I have got:

drm_kms_helper: panic occurred

Have you tried booting the USB stick on a different PC to see if it might be a damaged/broken file(s)?

I have found the solution
I had to disable Intel Software Guard Extention
Thank you all!
