Installing Ubuntu MATE on Raspberry Pi 3

Hello! I just received a Raspberry Pi 3, and have just set it up, and I currently have a few operating systems installed on the device. However, I would like to install Ubuntu MATE on it as well. Initially, I was given a list of operating systems to install, but I didn’t happen to see it on the list. Is there a way for me to install Ubuntu MATE on the Pi on the same SD card, without having to erase my currently installed operating system? Thanks in advanced!

That’s what I’d regard as an interesting challenge.
Were you thinking of a NOOBS environment?

Hello @branman02 welcome to the forum. To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to dual boot on a Raspberry Pi. However Class 10 32 GB Micro SD Cards are relatively cheap, and easy to swap out. If you prefer to keep NOOBS on your current SD Card, buy another one and install Ubuntu Mate on it. Then if you want to switch back, just power down and swap out the SD cards.
