I am having some strange issues. I’ve spent a few days, but so far I haven’t been able to find a solution to my problem.
I’m running Ubuntu Mate on a Raspberry Pi 2. Bluetooth seems to be working (I can see the Pi on my phone under bluetooth devices). However, the wi-fi doesn’t work.

I realize the text said “only for testing”. However, the bluetooth works fine, so I’m just curious why wi-fi doesn’t seem to work.
(It is stated on the right hand side of the page: “Probable Linux driver = none”).
That said, it is possible to use the Windows drivers to get it to work using “ndiswrapper” if you get the correct Windows driver package for your model!:
Hi again. Thanks for your replies. I’m sorry I didn’t reply before now - I have been without internet at home (except 4G via my phone) since January. Finally with 50/50 mbit.
Anyway, I tried what you suggested. Nothing shows up under Additional Drivers, and when I run the command in the terminal, I get “linux-firmware-nonfree is already the newest version”.
So I’m probably going to give up on this adapter and get a Raspberry Pi 3 at some point instead. I could then use this device for something more permanent.
