Interesting things in life

I would like to introduce something that I think most folks would enjoy.

Post something you have found interesting in life.

I will start.

While out for a walk, I stopped in at 2 car repair shops looking for another mechanic.

( My current mechanic does great work but....

They are greedy. )

I asked this question of the shops I visisted.
"Do you install owner supplied parts ?"

One shop said no.

The other shop said, "We install owner supplied parts but we charge $30 an hour more."

I smiled and responded, "Why would you do that ?"

And I wished them a good day and walked out.

I talked to my apartment manager and she gave me her mechanics name.

He is honest.

I hope you'll be happy with the new mechanic - car mechanics that are honest are sometimes hard to come by depending on the location

As to what I found interesting - I am searching for a nice, oak table and since I wasn't happy with "fancy" new models that don't feel/look sturdy enough I turned to second hand shops and when I called the seller of the one I found really interesting for half of the price of a new one and in mint condition I had some trouble getting in contact with them

Turns out people just won't ever pick up the phone unless you message them first since they are so fed up with scam calls or annoying sales offers that keep on pestering us all from time to time - so yeah, now I know that if I want to contact somebody I don't know I guess I have to write a message first before the call haha

Second hand stores are great. Like Salvation Army. I got a metal computer desk for $4.

Later I found a nice bigger wood computer desk that was at the curb.

Dumpsters are a big favorite.

So far, I have retrieved a 4 shelf bookcase, computer desk, and a 2 drawer dresser.

Does it seem that generally people are getting lazier?
