Just booted up my laptop this morning and was greeted by an error message:
Any idea as to what this could mean? I'm a new user on UMate so haven't any idea. So far I haven't come across any issues/crashes since booting up this morning.

Hi @Cameron, It is saying mate-panel failed to start yet I see perfectly good looking panels on your desktop. I would guess it retried mate-panel and was successful so this message is about that first attempt.
But it still shouldn’t happen. This dialog has the option to send info to developers and I assume if a lot of similar reports come in it will trigger investigation (any developer want to elaborate?).
I hope that clarifies what it is. Now… is it a one-time event or chronic?
Hi @Bill_MI, thanks for your response. Thankfully this was just a one-off event which occurred yesterday. I made sure I clicked the first option to lodge an error report so as you said, hopefully the developers will look into it. I’ll keep an eye on things but all seems well today.
